Every now and again-generally during the question time of a conference or seminar--I feel like an extra in a 1940s melodrama. Dashing men combat dastardly (and generally dead) theorists. Vixens give good leg while Doris Days and Deborah Kerrs keep honour and integrity intact by seething, not speaking.
