Jan. 4--Deen+Black, one of Sacramento's most prominent home-grown public relations firms, has been purchased by the world's 9th-largest PR agency, adding to the number of national agencies with operations in Sacramento.
New York-based Ogilvy PR will take over Deen+Black's operations in Sacramento, plus satellite offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego, Ogilvy's chairman Robert Seltzer said.
By purchasing Deen+Black, Ogilvy gets one of the state's premier public affairs PR agencies, giving the New York firm a stronger presence in the California market.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
