Several European nations intensified pressure on NATO to declare a moratorium on the use of depleted uranium rounds until more is known about the health affects of the so-called "Balkan Syndrome."
Four French soldiers who served in Kosovo joined the growing list of NATO veterans who have been found to have leukemia, with a possible link to radioactive dust from U.S.-fired depleted uranium shells, The Times of London reported Friday.
France said the four men are listed in satisfactory condition, adding that it was conducting its own inquiry into possible links between sickness and the use of depleted uranium.
