MILAN -- Gucci Group has just made another hire from the ranks of LVMH: Thierry Andretta.
Gucci said in a statement Tuesday that it named Andretta, who had been acquisitions director at Louis Vuitton Fashion Group, a division of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, to the post of vice president at Gucci Group.
Andretta, 43, will work with Gucci's newly acquired brands, and starts Feb. 1. He will report to group chairman and chief executive officer Domenico De Sole. Andretta's post at Gucci is a new one that is part of the company's multibrand strategy.
