According to the recent research, the majority of parents and many Michigan students feel they receive no career guidance from their schools. Fifty-five percent of Michigan parents say no one at their children's schools is helping students choose careers -- and 45 percent of Michigan young people agree.
A series of statewide surveys conducted by the Ferris State University Partnership for Career Decision-Making uncovered a variety of other factors that compound the problem.
