SAN JOSE, Calif. _ Promoters of the San Jose International Auto Show, to be held for the seventh time starting Wednesday, like to talk about big numbers.
Attendance grew to 208,912 last year, an all-time record. In six years, nearly 840,000 people have turned the stiles at this show, which means it will top 1 million in total attendance sometime during its five-day run this month.
This year, the number of new cars, trucks, vans and sport-utilities on display will top 350. Those vehicles represent the works of 36 manufacturers, including all the major American, Japanese and European automakers. Only South Korea's Daewoo, boutique exotics such as Ferrari ...
