Jan. 5--The new Pizza Hut that opened last week in Hephzibah is part of movement by franchisee NPC International Inc. to revitalize its Augusta properties.
Pizza Huts on Rosier and Peach Orchard roads were closed to make room for the 3,691-square-foot Hephzibah store at 2519 Tobacco Road.
"We need to put more money into our existing assets," said Nan Wolf, regional manager for Kansas-based NPC International. "We're replacing restaurants like the one on Peach Orchard Road that have been in existence for more than 30 years -- facilities that have outgrown themselves."
