Reggae couple voices Third World pleas in Golden Hill, Ocean Beach

Elliott Lieb and Renee Romano live and work in San Diego, but they sell the voice of the Third World.

The voice, set to music, is reggae. And even in conservative San Diego, Navy Town, Reagan's Lucky City, Lieb and Romano are doing well enough to afford a second store for their Trade Roots Reggae. The couple's second location -- about twice the size of their closet/shop in Golden Hill -- opened last month in Ocean Beach.

Press your face against the window of their store, and you'll find a little bit of New York's East Village in Golden Hill.
