CASE FACTS: Ola Mae Craig died as a result of cardiovascular disease. Prior to her death, she was under the medical care and treatment of Dr. Ernest Okeke. Her last office visit was on July 17, 1995. Dr. Okeke prescribed medications for the patient through November of 1995. She was diagnosed with end-stage cardiovascular disease at a time described as a "spring" of 1997 by her son. She died on July 22, 1997. The patient's son, Donald Craig, the administrator of her estate, brought a suit for `wrongful death' against Dr. Okeke.
