Is your house suffering from the Christmas hangover? Taking colourful decorations and cards down can leave everything looking drab and dreary.

It's a classic problem. We all get used to the rich, elaborate dressings of the season and miss their effect after Twelfth Night.

Redecorating is too stressful to contemplate after all the hard work of getting ready for the holiday, but there are some easy ways of keeping that colour and sparkle by using those expensive decorations all year round.
