First, an apology: I'm about to become self-indulgent, so I beg your forgiveness. I promise you that it's all in service of an important point.
Over the past 14 years, I have been privileged to be involved in an array of NCEW activities, from working on committees to climbing the leadership ladder. All have been challenging, particularly occurring as they did during a period of the group's transition from a convention-driven organization to a full-service one with activities year round, a shift that is largely responsible for, I believe, our unprecedented membership growth.
