WASHINGTON -- There is growing concern among senior Navy leaders that the actions of U.S. commanders assigned to supervise and support the destroyer Cole and other ships visiting the Middle East have largely escaped scrutiny in a pair of soon-to-be-released reports on the Cole's Oct. 12 bombing, according to Navy and Pentagon officials.
