A likely side effect of Ken Burns' "Jazz": A great many viewers will find themselves perusing the jazz bins at record stores during the coming months. With new listeners in mind, I've put together a basic library of 101 CDs covering all periods and styles.
The list is broken into categories to help sort out the confusing issues of where to start and what to buy next when you hear something you like. These 101 include iconic albums, sampler discs and some that are simply my personal favorites.
