Article: St. Paul League of Women Voters chapter makes cuts.(NEWS)

Confronted with five straight years of deficits and the loss of a primary income source, the St. Paul office of the League of Women Voters has laid off its single part-time employee and moved its headquarters to a shared office.

Colleen Hartmon Bollom, president of the St. Paul chapter, said the move is a way to cut expenses without sacrificing programs. It will hold its Jan. 28 Electoral College forum and its February fund-raising luncheon as scheduled, and expects to produce voters' guides for this year's St. Paul mayoral and school board elections.
