DERMATOLOGIC SURGEONS EXPRESS SUPPORT FOR

FEDERAL APPROVAL OF ANTI-BALDNESS DRUG

EVANSTON, Ill., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) today expressed support for the new federal approval of minoxidil to treat baldness, calling the prescription drug the best non-surgical treatment available. ASDS President Roger Ceilley, M.D. said that dermatologic surgeons have successfully used the drug for hair loss as well as in conjunction with surgical procedures such as scalp reduction or hair transplants.
