Jason Giambi of the Oakland Athletics, and the American League's Most Valuable Player, today was named the 2000 winner of the Hutch Award by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Giambi will be honored at The Second Annual Hutch Award Luncheon to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on January 31, 2001 at Safeco Field.
