As Yugoslavia began to unravel just over a decade ago with a bit of help from Slobodan Milosevic, official Serbia and Croatia made great efforts to erase the memory of Josip Broz Tito. In Serbia, Milosevic's wife ultimately formed a neo-communist party of political dinosaurs and young opportunists, but her nationalistic United Yugoslav Left (JUL) had precious little in common with Tito's doctrines.
