Butler Elementary District 53 school board member Connie Craig says someone needs to represent residents who don't send children to the public schools.
It just won't be her.
Craig will skip this spring's elections, choosing instead to leave the school board she's served for the past four years.
Two other board members up for election in the Oak Brook-based district, including board President Roberta Arquilla, said they're not sure whether they'll run for reelection.
Only board member Stanley Pruss has said he plans to make a bid for another two-year term.
