Jan. 17--A second top executive is leaving CNN, which is likely to announce long-expected layoffs today.
The departure of Shelby Coffey III, the New York-based president of CNN Business News and financial news network CNNfn, comes only days after CNN announced the retirement of Headline News President V.R. "Bob" Furnad.
CNN executives say the departures were voluntary. Broad changes are occurring as CNN tries to restructure for the future.
CNN officials are expected to announce job cuts today that may put 400 to 500 of CNN's 4,350 employees out of work --- the biggest cut ever for the company. Many additional positions could be targeted for ...
