Jan. 17--A Wichita high-tech firm has inked a deal that will allow it to develop technology to test future phones that will be capable of surfing the Internet, executives said Tuesday.
The president and chief executive of IFR Systems of Wichita, Jeff Bloomer, said his company has reached a new licensing agreement with Qualcomm Inc. that will allow IFR to develop techniques and equipment for testing "third- generation" cellular phones.
