NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE FORMS JAPAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

TOKYO, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The New York Stock Exchange has formed the Japan Advisory Committee to counsel the NYSE board of directors on matters involving international capital markets and the views and concerns of Japan's business and financial community.

John J. Phelan Jr., NYSE chairman and chief executive officer, announced the formation of the new advisory committee in a speech before the Foreign Correspondents' Club in Tokyo today.
