ANNOUNCES NEW PRODUCT CAPABILITY

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Cognitive Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSAI) announced today a new contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to fund research on Case-Based Reasoning.

The contract calls for initial funding of approximately $1 million and includes two one-year options, renewable by DARPA. The first option would be effective Feb. 1, 1989 with funding of approximately $1,700,000 with the second option being effective Feb. 1, 1990, with funding of approximately $2,300,000. The ...
