Jan. 17--One of the world's largest software makers plans to close its Southern California operations and consolidate them in Fresno County in a move that will create as many as 400 distribution jobs.
Vivendi Universal Interactive owns software makers such as Sierra, Blizzard Entertainment, Knowledge Adventure and Universal Interactive Studios. Together, they publish some of the most successful interactive computer games and educational software, including the Jumpstart Learning Series (such as Jumpstart Kindergarten), Diablo, Hoyle, You Don't Know Jack and Crash Bandicoot.
