Jan. 18--One of the oldest restaurant chains in the United States is re-entering the Texas market, using the Metroplex as the center of its planned expansion.
Steak n Shake, known for its steak burgers, real-milk milkshakes and chili, is coming to Tarrant County and the rest of Texas.
The 67-year-old chain, which enjoys a nostalgic cult status akin to that of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, said it will build a full-service restaurant next to Grapevine Mills this year as part of a multi-store push into the Metroplex.
