Adult Comics: No Laughing matter

The French have always taken comics seriously--for example, Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy and Woody Allen. They are also big on comic magazines and comic strip books. The French post office recently issued a series of stamps honoring comic strip heroes, Pilote & Charlie and A Suivre, shown here, are two popular and typical French comic magazines.
