The State Historical Society is collecting an estimated 700 cubic feet of policy papers, speeches, e-mails, memos and letters detailing Gov. Tommy Thompson's record 14 years in office.
The documents and artifacts including campaignThompson balloons, photographs and personal items eventually will be available for scholars and the general public to peruse, said George Vogt, director of the historical society.
Plans for a ``Tommy Thompson room'' in a new or renovated library on the Marquette University campus also are in the works, state officials said. Thompson, 59, announced recently he will resign as governor as soon as the U.S. Senate confirms him as ...
