Carlton's iTV advertising division, Carlton Active, is making its first foray into t-commerce for next month's Brit Awards.
Carlton Active is to launch a full interactive content service around the awards programming and, for the first time, it will also offer viewers the opportunity to buy CDs, books and tapes of nominated artists.
According to Jane Marshall, CEO of Carlton Active, t-commerce is a model that it's expecting to move further towards this year.
"It's all about enhancing TV and adding more volume to the TV broadcast. This is just the sort of model that we're very interested in," she said.
