The Chicago White Sox have sent a message to the Cleveland Indians.
And it has come through loud and clear.
The White Sox broke the Indians' five-year stranglehold on the American League Central Division last season, and they don't plan on fading into the pack in 2001.
Any doubts were erased by the White Sox's acquisition of left-hander David Wells from the Toronto Blue Jays last weekend.
