I have been putting pansies out every fall for several years and they have always done well except for the last two years. They do well all winter until early spring. Then the voles get them. We set mouse traps with peanut butter. We put Juicy Fruit gum down and put rat poison in the vole holes, but they keep coming back. Is there anything I can do to keep them from coming after my pansies?

Are you sure the problem is voles? Rabbits love pansies and will devour them rapidly. If the problem is voles, they work underground and will pull the pansy down into the soil or eat the roots off ...
