DALLAS _ Goodbye and good riddance. The Sharks might have played their last game at Reunion Arena on Friday, and they'll be happy never to return.
Reunion Arena opened in 1980.
"Oh, I love it here," left wing Jeff Friesen said with a roll of his eyes. "I really love it. It has so much character."
Defenseman Mike Rathje said, "With most other teams, at least they've renovated the dressing rooms."
The Stars will move out of Reunion Arena, known for its shoddy ice and cramped quarters, and into the new American Airlines Center next season. The Sharks have no more trips to Dallas during the regular season.
