LaViale Drops Forstmann; Burlington to Make Line NEW YORK -- Roger LaViale Ltd. will not renew its contract with Forstmann & Co., Inc., Ken Bates, LaViale president, told DNR Thursday. Starting with fall 1990, LaViale's domestic collection of worsted fabrics will be produced entirely by Burlington Menswear.
LaViale designs and sells woolen and worsted fabrics mainly for men's wear, but some for women's wear.
LaViale's last season with Forstmann fabrics will be spring 1990. Forstmann has been producing much of the LaViale line of worsted fabrics for more than eight years. However, Burlington Menswear began producing some fabrics for the line about 2 1/2 ...
