NICHOLS OPENS IN-HOUSE SHOPS
LONDON (FNS) -- Harvey Nichols, specialty retailer, has remodeled its main fashion floor with a string of in-house designer shops featuring Calvin Klein, Krizia, Byblos, Claude Montana and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
The shops are part of a major revamping of the 120,000-square-foot store aimed at boosting its performance as it competes against Harrods, Selfridges and a string of designer boutiques in London. Burton Group PLC, the store's parent company, said in its latest annual report that Harvey Nichols' performance was "disappointing" last year, but did not provide details.
