A year after the crash of Flight 261, Alaska Air Group Inc. is on the road to financial recovery, with a healthier stock price and improving operations.
But the progress doesn't insulate Alaska Air from competitors who may try to snatch its airplanes and its Eskimo logo from the Seattle skies.
