COMPUTER ASSOCIATES TO ACQUIRE ADR
GARDEN CITY, N.Y., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA) and Ameritech (NYSE: AIT) today announced an agreement under which Computer Associates will purchase for $170 million all shares of Applied Data Research, Inc. (ADR), Ameritech's systems software subsidiary. Completion of the purchase is subject to provisions of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.
Headquartered in Princeton, N.J., ADR began business in 1959 and achieved revenues of approximately $170 million in 1987. ADR is engaged primarily in the development and marketing of software products for ...
