Amico is the new chief privacy officer of PeopleFirst.com, an online lender that has originated more than $1 billion in auto loans over the Internet since its launch in August 1997. Amico, 40, is part of a growing number of executives responsible for protecting the information collected about customers, employees and suppliers.
Amico says his task is ``second to none.''
