US Stores Sizing Up Impact Of Ivy League Sack Suit NEW YORK -- The Master, Giorgio Armani, put his imprimatur on The Ivy League Sack Suit, and already, American retailers and manufacturers are assessing its impact on the domestic tailored clothing market.
The first on-the-scene retail reaction to the new silhouette at the men's wear collections in Milan and at Pitti Uomo, Florence, pegged The Ivy League Sack Suit as a strong future contender for the younger clothing customer. In this country, retailers feel that with modifications, the Armani silhouette could go volume.
