BADLY WANTED
Dear Interview,
I am writing in regards to the interview with Damon Gough, a.k.a. Badly Drawn Boy in your November issue--what a relief to discover a recording artist who can navigate between references ranging from David Lynch to Muhammad Ali to the film Grease, and in a way that has nothing to do with making sure the world knows how smart or educated or tuned in he is. Gough makes music like nothing I've ever heard; I was grateful to learn a little more about where it comes from. PS. Loved the pictures, especially the one with the elf--so cute!
