DEER RIVER, Minn. _ The cry goes up and down the line as the hunters move out.
"Ho!"
"Ho!"
"Movin' ahead!"
"Moving!"
And one by one, spread at intervals through the woods of northern Itasca County, the hunters begin forging ahead through the calf-deep snow. They do this a half-dozen times a winter.
Their quarrythe elusive snowshoe hare.
