Jan. 31--Hoping to counter the not-in-my-back-yard syndrome it says has suppressed the city's housing stock, a coalition of developers and environmentalists banded together Tuesday to promote dense housing construction in San Francisco.
The announcement came the same day as a San Francisco Chamber of Commerce poll showed that lack of affordable housing is the No. 1 concern among city residents.
