Feb. 2--INTEL'S ANTENNA WENT UP OVER THIS ISSUE: Intel Corp. has taken to heart the old saw about perception being reality.
The chip maker has a new line of products to connect multiple computers in a home through a wireless network. It is centered on a 5-inch-tall transmitter that serves as the network hub. The $99 wedge-shaped device can send and receive signals to computers up to 150 feet away through walls and ceilings.
