Cebrace Cristal Plano Ltda. is to invest US$125mil in the implementation of the first glass plant of Santa Catarina. The new unit might start operations by late 2001 and is the result of a joint venture between Pilkington and Saint-Gobain groups. The plant will have a production capacity for 200,000 m tons of float glass per year. Cebrace already holds two units in Brazil: Jacarei and Cacapava (Sao Paulo).
