SUMITOMO CHEMICAL Company Ltd. and Merisol, a joint venture between South African group Sasol and US-based Merichem, have announced plans to build a $6-million ortho-cresol Novalac (OCN) resins plant in Sasolburg, South Africa. The scheduled onstream date is October 2001.
