Colorado businessman George Gillett acquired a huge chunk of sports history Wednesday with the $127 million purchase of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team and its arena.
Four days before the NHL All-Star Game in Denver, Gillett nearly upstaged the event with the announcement he would receive 80.1 percent of the world's most fabled hockey team from Molson brewing company.
