When Punxsutawney Phil makes his appearance on television today, internationally known groundhog expert Greg Florant and his colleagues at Colorado State will be watching with amusement.
Later, they'll cap their day by watching the film Groundhog Day, a movie starring Bill Murray as a man who continues to relive Feb. 2 until he gets his life in order.
``Groundhog Day is our national holiday,'' Florant says with a laugh. He's a professor of biology at CSU and one of the world's foremost experts on marmots, of which groundhogs are one species.
To Florant, Groundhog Day is all fun. But groundhogs ...
