Barbara Ottmar has built both her life and her business around family. Her work depicts families, her family works with her and she hires families to work for her. The name of her business is even taken from a term of endearment coined by her family.
Ottmar, in her 50s, is the founding partner of Tatutina Inc. in Attleboro.
The business, started in her garage, makes handpainted gifts. The boxes, vases, mirrors and bookends that her company produces are covered with colorful hearts, dancing villagers, and just about every kind of happy image imaginable.
