Inari, Inc., the leading developer of Powerline Communications technology, further cemented its leadership with today's shipment of its 2 Mbps IPL0201 Powerline communications silicon to Thomson Multimedia (NYSE: TMS). Thomson will use Inari's silicon in products marketed under its RCA brand name.

Inari became well known for its PassPort Plug-in Network home-networking product, which was marketed under the company's former name (Intelogis). Thomson will incorporate Inari's 2Mbps IPL0201 chipset in the RCA System Link, an external USB-to-Powerline network adapter, which is expected to be in stores this month.
