NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 2001

Hibernia (NYSE:HIB) has named 28-year banker S. Kyle Waters as chairman of the company's $3.6-billion-deposit Greater New Orleans Region. Waters was chairman of the South Central Louisiana Region and Baton Rouge city president. Robert M. Stuart, Jr., will succeed Waters as Baton Rouge city president. A new chairman for the South Central Louisiana Region will be named in the near future.
