Xavier University's Spring Film Series 2001 theme is ''Rococo in Film.'' Three films dealing with the Rococo Period in France and England, a period marked by feminine dominance, will be shown:

The series opens this Friday with ''Valmont'' (1989, French-British) with Colin Firth, Annette Bening and Meg Tilly. This is the third retelling of Choderlos de Laclos' epistolary Novel '''Dangerous Liaisons.''
