As snow and freezing rain hit Wisconsin Wednesday night, forecasters said a spring-like warm-up would produce rain in southern Wisconsin today before another cool-down -- and more snow -- on Friday.
Freezing rain began falling in southeastern Wisconsin Wednesday night but was expected to change to rain as temperatures climb into the mid 40s today, according to the National Weather Service.
Sheriffs officials in southern Wisconsin said there were some slide-offs early today but no major injuries were reported.
A winter storm warning was in effect for central Wisconsin early today, with winter weather advisories in the north and south.
