Blue Chip Broadcasting, the second-largest African-American owned radio broadcasting company in the nation, said today it has agreed to be sold to Radio One in a $190 million deal.
Radio One will acquire 15 of Blue Chip's stations, including WIZF-FM in Cincinnati.
Blue Chip's local AM talk station, WDBZ, will be operated by Radio One but owned by a new company principally owned by Blue Chip's founder, president and CEO, Ross Love.
Bond Hill-based Blue Chip said its three stations in Lexington, Ky., would be sold to another company in a separate transaction to be announced shortly.
